Heart Surgery Recovery 12-21-00

When I first got these kittens they were up for adoption. But at their first vet exam it was discovered that Hansel had a grade VI heart murmur. He had a PDA and needed surgery or he would never see his first birthday. No one would adopt him knowing the expense that lied ahead with no guarantee of survival. So I kept him with his sisters and waited till he was big enough for surgery. The surgery was a complete success, there was only a slight murmur after the surgery. When he went back for his recheck he had no heart murmur at all. And today he is doing great.
